The Versatile Blogger Award

Yesterday morning I woke up to a most wonderful surprise. I have been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by Lucy from  PeaceCrafting. I really feel so honoured to be chosen for this.

I’m sure many of you already know about this award… but here are the rules again:

  •  Thank the person who gave you this award. That’s common courtesy.
  •  Include a link to their blog. That’s also common courtesy — if you can figure out how to do it.
  •  Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly. ( I would add, pick blogs or bloggers that are excellent!)
  •  Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award — you might include a link to this site.
  •  Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.

I really am very grateful that you decided to choose me. I really love reading PeaceCrafting and have learned a number of new things. I also love how much you dote on your children, because I do the same. 🙂

  1. I love rain and thunderstorms
  2. I love to cook and experiment with ingredients
  3. I just can’t seem to break up with a book, no matter how bad it is
  4. My idea of a perfect vacation would be to visit a city with a lot of history and live life like the locals for a few days
  5. I don’t know how to swim (shameful I know!)
  6. I don’t like lettuce
  7. I’d really like to learn how to play the guitar

Accepting the award was easy, nominating others is so difficult because I have too many wonderful blogs to choose from. It’s like asking someone to pick their favourite child. Nevertheless, since I have to, here’s my list (and of course the order is random}:

  1. Thoughts of a Crooked Mind
  2. See, there’s this thing called biology…
  3. The Wolf of Starbucks
  4. A mission to Mars
  5. Just a small town girl…
  6. AFMAI
  7. WritingStoriesRocks
  9. BluChickenNinja
  10. written and smitten
  11. Deux Pies
  12. kelzbelzphotography
  13. The Ninth Life
  14. Broken Intellectual
  15. The Realm of the Chaos Fairy

Thank you all for adding a little more sparkle to my life and magic to the blogosphere….

30 March 2015

I have so many things to write about and so much on my mind. But it’s been a trying a few weeks and I’m exhausted. I will get around to writing. It’s something that helps me feel better. But for now, my mind is all fuzzy and I can’t seem to think straight enough to write about the things that are really on my mind. I can’t believe it’s already the end of March. The first quarter of 2015 just seemed to fly by. Seems like just yesterday, we were trying to get to the end of January and I remember saying the first quarter is still a long way off. It hasn’t been a bad three months, but it hasn’t been easy either. There’s just so much happening. Some days I feel like I’m getting everything done, but I still feel a little lost.

Come up on different streets,
They both were streets of shame
Both dirty, both mean
Yeah, but the dream was just the same
And I dreamed your dream with you
And now your dream is real
How can you look at me
As if I was just another one of your deals.

Romeo and Juliet – Dire Straits

How do you tell someone
That you love him so much that you hate him
That you want so badly to walk away, but you can’t
That every moment spent with him was wonderful until it stopped being so
How do you tell him, that you never expected him.

Shut down

There are somethings that I just don’t know how to deal with. One of them is when someone close to me just shuts down on me. I accept that every needs there time and space, even I do. But what do you do when you know someone is upset and just doesn’t want to talk it out.

We all go through difficult times in our lives, and sharing that with someone can just make the burden easier. I’m not just making this up. There’s a reason support groups exist.

Do I just sit back and let it blow over? It’s hard, because it affects me a lot. In fact, I get depressed and worried. So what do I do?
