I haven’t said this in a long time but, I just can’t wait for this week to be over. I’ve had a fairly good start to the year and the last few weeks seemed very promising in terms making some headway on my business venture. This week was a completely different story. It seemed like everything that could go wrong went wrong. I just hope it’s a fluke and this trend doesn’t continue.

A book I’m reading
Essential Sufism – edited by James Fadiman & Robert Frager
I’ve always been very curious about the mysticism surrounding the Sufi way of life. I remember reading a book by the Sufi poet Rumi when I was much younger. Needless to say, the poetry was very deep. When I visited Turkey a couple of years back, seeing the whirling dervishes and being exposed to Sufism got me very interested. But, as usual, life gets in the way and you tend to forget things. I was browsing through the local bookshop when I came across this and picked up on a whim.
It’s mostly a collection of quotes that centers around the main principles of the Sufi way of life with quite an informative introduction. It’s a quick read and quite interesting.
