It’s a sad time

There’s been nothing but bad news around us. For the past few weeks, the world has been in turmoil with this global pandemic. There doesn’t seem to be a slowdown. If anything, things are getting worse. It’s horrific to think how many people have died and how many are still sick. People all around are paralyzed by the fear of getting sick. I can’t even begin to imagine what people are going through at Ground Zero.

At times like this, we realize how helpless we are as humans. A person’s life can change in split second.

Most of the time, we walk around like we’re infallible. We see the worst happen to people and think it won’t happen to me. But, that’s never true. We are strong, yet vulnerable and no one ever knows if they’re going to be next.

This is why hope is so important. Hope is what keeps us going. We live with the hope that there will be a better tomorrow, that there is a reason to go on and something to look forward to.

Thank God we can’t tell the future or we would never get out of bed.from the movie, August: Osage County
