Financial Markets in Turmoil
I can’t remember the last time the markets were this much in disarray. It’s anyone’s guess where the price of a stock or commodity will be during the trading day.
Much of the price movement is based on sentiment and news releases about the Coronovirus. More cases of the virus in the Middle East seem to be driving down the price of oil but, then there’s a rebound. Some people are trying to draw meaningful conclusions on the correlation between certain factors but, I feel there are no fundamentals to back up the predictions.
There’s no shame in sitting on the sidelines at a time like this. I’m sure a lot of people have made short term gains with the erratic price movements but, investing seriously right now is tantamount to gambling.
